Graverobbing

If one were to "borrow" something found in an archealogical excavation on one's own land, after the archealogists had gone home, would one be guilty of stealing? Or would one have to share the spoils with the queen?

If so, what percentage of the oyster shell and wood found at the bottom of a bronze age cooking pit would she take? Hypothetically, like...
